Through the attorney Ben Braly of Dean Omar Branham Shirley LLP, Ronald Thomas got $ 5.55 million for all the agony he has been made to go through and each of his children was awarded $ 1 million for the mental anguish they had undergone.
The Jury said Honeywell International was partially liable for causing deaths to a mechanic who died of fatal mesothelioma due to the company automotive break after a deliberation that did not last even a day.
Michael Thomas claimed that his Father’s employers Were responsible for his death. Michael’s father had died of asbestos-caused cancer.
The Jury established that Honeywell had contributed to 18.75 percent of the damage. Mr. Thomas was held to have contributed to a percentage of 5 for his misfortunes. Ford was held accountable for the damages caused.
It still occurred even after the company had settled with the plaintiff. They had agreed to pay a particular amount. Honeywell’s spokesperson expressed her disappointment with the Jury decision as they were both in tandem with the plaintiff.
Ben Braly of Dean Omar admitted while at Law360 that the parties had agreed to settle a certain amount of money. The information which he said was confidential and therefore could not be disclosed.
Dean Omar wants corporations to be reliable for atrocities caused to the workers. They should have safe working places and maintain a good relationship with their clients topped by their unending passion for their work.
